Taylor Vannest Fair
Taylor Vannest’s family cattle performed well, with their Crossbred Summer Yearling Heifer placing first in her class and their fall calf Mary winning Supreme Grand Champion Female.

There are too many success stories from the Stanislaus County Fair’s Summer of Fun to count when it comes to local high school students and their show-stopping livestock, but some FFA students from both Turlock and Pitman high schools were among the best of the best.

At THS, dairy exhibitors performed well including Madison Blount (Supreme Champion Registered Heifer), Gabby Franco (Champion FFA Jersey Replacement Heifer) and Jon Chapman (Supreme Champion Registered Cow). 

Kodi Nairn of THS earned First Place in novice poultry showmanship and fellow Bulldog Joy Frost earned First Place in advanced showmanship for beef exhibitors.

PHS saw multiple students finish first in their class, including Joaquin Peral for Market Swine. Taylor Vannest’s family cattle performed well, with their Crossbred Summer Yearling Heifer placing first in her class and their fall calf Mary winning Supreme Grand Champion Female.
