The Stanislaus County Commission for Women is look for a few outstanding females to honor.

Nominations are currently being accepted for Outstanding Women Awards, including the categories of Women of History, Living Pioneers and Young Women (high school seniors to age 24 which includes a cash scholarship).

Nominees should be women who have made a meaningful contribution to the quality of life for all women and children. Consider nominating a trailblazer who began an important program or took on a challenging cause; a woman who was first to achieve a significant accomplishment in her field; a woman who has been an inspirational role model; a woman representative in government; or a woman who stands up for the issues of women and children.

Nomination forms are available via email at SCCforWomen@gmail.com, can be downloaded online at www.StanislausWomen.net or can be obtained at all Stanislaus County Library branches.        

Nominations must be postmarked or arrive by email no later than Jan. 11, 2019. Awards will be presented on March 9, 2019.
