Since 2007 Cyndi Nelson has been offering customers a unique shopping experience at Ebb n' Flow, her home good and garden store that is situated in a large barn on her property.

Nelson's unique store has been a draw for locals and travelers alike, many of whom come from the coast to dig through her "funky and unique" items.

"I try really hard to carry thing you won’t find in a big box stores and also keep up with what they have going on in little shops in Turlock, though I try not to duplicate what’s out there," explained Nelson.

 Ebb n' Flow offers a range of home and garden items such as patio sets, bistro tables, trellises, iron garden accessories, umbrellas, indoor and outdoor pillows, furniture, and more. There is also a loft in the barn where shoppers can find an array of children’s clothing plus the store carries gift items like jewelry as well as bath and body products.

"I really try to promote small business,” said Nelson. "There are several vendors in the children’s loft that are local."

Owning a store that offers unique items has been a dream of Nelson's since her childhood when she would frequent funky stores along the shorelines of the East Coast. Now that she is able to offer shoppers a taste of her passion, Nelson’s main goal is to provide them an enjoyable experience similar to those of her childhood.

"Customer service is huge to me,” said Nelson. “I want them to enjoy the experience and I want to inspire them.”
