The Stanislaus Wildlife Care Center is preparing for its biggest fundraiser of the year on April 15 as their mission to care for injured and orphaned native wild animals continues.

Tabbed as the annual Baby Animal Shower, the center opens its doors to the public to provide awareness of the native creatures that have found refuge at the facility. Visitors, who are strongly encouraged to show up with donations, will be able to meet with staff, learn about the native animals, and get an up-close look at some of them.

The event is open to people of all ages. On display that Saturday will be different species of squirrels, owls, snakes and birds. For children, activities will include games, owl pellets, face painting and more. Over 25 items will also be raffled off.
