Raven about Poe: Turlock’s Artistic Repertoire Theater Collaboration chose Poe’s works as the theme for their fall show — “Raven About Poe” — slated for Oct. 11 and 12 at the Carnegie Arts Center, 250 N. Riverbank Cheese & Wine Festival: The 47th annual Riverbank Cheese & Wine Festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 12 in downtown Riverbank. There will be a variety of wines to taste, an assortment of local cheeses, entertainment, food, vendors, and a whole lot of fun. There will be three wine tasting sessions. Tickets are $33.85 each and are available at riverbankcheeseandwine.com.

Columbia Big Band: The Columbia Big Band Show will be at The State Theatre in downtown Modesto at 7 p.m. Oct. 12. The show celebrates the best in American music playing the Great American Song Book, including the great sounds of Count Basie, Glenn Miller, Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole and more. Office Trivia: The Office Trivia with Todd Packer live show will be at the Gallo Center for the Arts in downtown Modesto at 7 p.m. Oct. 12. Test your knowledge of The Office with the Pack-Man himself, David Koechner. Teams will compete for prizes – while also hearing behind-the-scenes stories from David about playing the hit show’s favorite obnoxious paper salesman (and Michael’s bff), Todd Packer. For tickets, visit galloarts.org.

Trunk-or-Treat: Yosemite Lanes will host a Trunk-or-Treat and Pop-up vendor event from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 13 at 2301 Yosemite Blvd., Modesto. There will be the opportunity for some local holiday shopping while the kids enjoy a safe way to get Halloween treats.
