Artist reception: A free, public reception for the artists of the Carnegie Arts Center’s new Lobby Gallery exhibit Paperwork will take place from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday.  The show features works created by 33 artists from 20 regional communities and beyond. Saturday Studio: The Carnegie Arts Center will host a Valentines themed Saturday Studio event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Participants can make fun, colorful cards for Valentine’s Day. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Cost is $5 per maker; $3 CAC members, no pre-registration required. The Carnegie is located at 250 N. Broadway, Turlock.

Discover Saturday: The Great Valley Museum will feature a new planetarium show with shows at 11 a.m. and 12 noon on Saturday. This show follows Coyote, an animated character who has some misconceptions about earth, the moon and the sun. A Blonde, Brunette, and Some Duets:  Broadway icons Eric McCormack and Laura Bell Bundy will be at the Gallo Center for the Arts at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Ronstadt Revival: Ronstadt Revival, featuring Shannon Rae, the premier tribute to Linda Ronstadt, will be at The State Theatre in downtown Modesto at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.  A full seven-piece band, including fiddle and pedal steel, will bring the true authentic sound of the Ronstadt catalog.
