Carnegie partners with local businesses to expand class offerings

The Carnegie Arts Center announced new partnerships with several local arts businesses to expand their spring class offerings.  The CAC is joining forces with Alegria Performing Arts Academy to offer performing arts classes for children five and older; Stephanie Belly Dance to offer dance aerobics classes for teens and belly dancing classes for students 16 and older; and Paper Moon Stationery & Arts Supplies to offer watercolor and bookbinding workshops for adults. 

“We are thrilled to be able to add new classes to our schedule, as well as collaborate with other arts loving businesses,” said CAC Assistant Director Megan Hennes.

Students 18 and younger can apply for tuition assistance through the CAC’s Express Yourself! Justin Ferrari Memorial Fund. Qualifying students can attend classes for less than $15 a month.

The historic Carnegie Library opened in Turlock in 1916 and is now one of only a handful of professional art centers in the region. The CAC’s mission is to serve as a regional gathering place for vibrant engagement with the arts. CAC programs include exhibitions, classes and programs, school field trips, lectures, and activities in artistic genres as diverse as dance, music, theatre and more. Operated by the Carnegie Arts Center Foundation, Turlock, it is a 501 (c )(3)non-profit organization.
