The Pitman High 2023 Homecoming King and Queen candidates posed for a photo and answered a few questions before their royal debut. Pitman will be taking on Enochs in the Pride’s homecoming football game on Friday. The King and Queen will be crowned during halftime.

Alexandra Santos
Who is your favorite teacher? Mrs. Zarharris
Who is your hero? My mom
What is your biggest achievement? Sending my artwork to a museum to be shown in an art show.
How are you involved with school and the community? I am very involved in school, I have joined 4 clubs this year, and every summer I volunteer for vacation bible school for the community.
Dahlia Leon
Who is your favorite teacher? My favorite teacher is Kim Runyan. She is always kind, understanding, and her personality shines and stands out in any crowd.
Who is your hero? My brother, Fransico, is my hero and my biggest inspiration. He pushes to me to be my best everyday and he has my back at all times.
What is your biggest achievement? Being accepted into the EMT program and maintaining a high GPA are my biggest achievements.
How are you involved with school and the community? In school I am involved with clubs such as HOSA and SHSS. In my community I volunteer at church and at the Turlock Gospel Mission.
Kaiya Olesen

Who is your hero? My hero is my mom, Jennifer Olesen
What is your biggest achievement? My biggest achievement is becoming drama club president and being cast in 5 of Pitman’s drama productions
How are you involved with school and the community? I have been actively involved in ASB the last three years, and am currently one of our Green Team Social Medias. I have spent two years as a Pride Ambassador and four years as a member of PHAST club. I have also been a part of Pitman’s Girls Golf and Track and Field team all four years. I am currently as active Thespian and Drama Club President.
Kirstin Padilla
Who is your favorite teacher? My favorite teacher is Ms. Mackey
Who is your hero? My parents are my heroes.
What is your biggest achievement? My biggest achievement is going to South Korea and Japan to train with and perform for the best teams in the world for Taekwondo.
How are you involved with school and the community? I have been on the cheer team all 4 years of high school and on the track team for three years at Pitman.
Natalie Valencia

What is your biggest achievement? Getting into my school’s talent show “Pride Café.”
How are you involved with school and the community? I am in HOSA and the advanced choir ensemble Madrigals.
Norah Frank
Who is your favorite teacher? Mrs. Jeans and Mrs. Olesen
Who is your hero? Any person that stands up for what is right and lives with integrity.
What is your biggest achievement? My biggest achievement has been winning 1st overall and earning title for a solo I competed with at a dance competition.
How are you involved with school and the community? I have been a class officer for the past 4 years and have enjoyed being a leader on campus through involvement in ASB, PHAST Club and Pride Ambassadors. This year I am serving as the senior class president and love working alongside the Green Team to plan and coordinate our big school events. I have also been involved as a dancer at Backstage and have been on the competitive team for 10 years. I enjoy being a mentor to the younger dancers and have loved my dance family.

Who is your hero? My hero is my aunt who taught me how hard work truly pays off.
What is your biggest achievement? My biggest achievement is maintaining good grades all throughout high school.
How are you involved with school and the community? I am involved in ASB, an officer for Kitchens for Change, HOSA, and varsity girls basketball.

What is your biggest achievement? My biggest achievement is passing an Expert level Sudoku in 6 minutes.
How are you involved with school and the community? At Pitman High School I am Green Team President and a Drama/Thespian Club officer. I am also involved in PHAST, HARRT Club, and I am on the Tennis team. Outside of school I am a manager at Togo’s and I regularly volunteer teaching kids how to play tennis.

What is your biggest achievement? Maintaining a 4.0 GPA so far in high school
How are you involved with school and the community? I´m a football player, Pride ambassador, and do band.

How are you involved with school and the community? At school, I am involved in ASB, HYLC, Drama club, HOSA, and I help manage Waterpolo/swim. In my community, I enjoy volunteering at local dialysis centers and at the Salvation Army. I also teach little kids how to swim.
Dominic Padilla
Who is your favorite teacher? Mr. Santos because we talk about Star Wars a lot.
Who is your hero? Captain America because if he’s brave then I’m brave.
What is your biggest achievement? My biggest achievement is living a good life with a good job career.
How are you involved with school and the community? I go to football games and I’m in clubs for our community.
John Sylvester
Who is your favorite teacher? My favorite teacher is Mr. Brooks. He is very funny, laid-back, and understanding.
Who is your hero? My hero is my grandfather. He died when I was in 6th grade but he was an amazing person in every way.
What is your biggest achievement? My greatest achievement has been the connections that I have formed with my friends in and out of school. I have made lifelong friends at Pitman High that make me strive to be better every single day.
How are you involved with school and the community? I am President of the Chess club, Vice President of Game club, a member of the Science Olympiad team, a Varsity Track runner, and a member of numerous other clubs. I am involved with my community through theater and tutoring other students.
Kameron Pearson
Who is your favorite teacher? I don’t have one. All my current and former teachers here at Pitman are amazing.
Who is your hero? My hero? I guess my mom and my dad would be my heroes.
What is your biggest achievement? My biggest achievement was passing Apush
How are you involved with school and the community? I volunteer here to there, my most notable time was volunteering for Prom with a Purpose which was cool as I got to help the less fortunate have an unforgettable time that they will never forget.
