The California State University, Stanislaus athletics department is ending summer season with a bang while preparing community members to the start of the busy school and sports season with the Warrior Athletics Fall Festival.
This is the first ever Warrior Athletics Fall Festival. The event will offer activities for children of all ages and their families. Entertainment will include bounce houses, , a dunk tank, a meet-and-greet with mascot Titus the Warrior and other activities alongside student-athletes from fall sports including the women's and men's soccer teams, men's and women's cross country and the volleyball team. Stanislaus State gear and apparel will be available to purchase, as well as season tickets.
“We’re just trying to build excitement for the upcoming year and to introduce the community to our athletic teams,” explained Joe Danahey, senior communications specialist for Stan State Athletics.
The idea to host a fan fest was first pitched by Stan State head women’s soccer coach Gabriel Bolton late last spring, and it was an idea that athletic director Aaron Allaire was all for.
The event, which takes place at Warrior Stadium on the campus of Stan State from 9 a.m. noon on Aug. 12, is completely free of charge. All children under the age 18 must complete a registration form to have a liability waiver completed by a parent or guardian, which will be emailed in advance of the event. All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times during the festival, as it is not a drop-off event.
