The Turlock High School competition math club had a strong showing at the MJC Math Superbowl.
“These students are able to balance sports, AP classes and other clubs, while attending study sessions and working on their own time. It is so awesome to see their hard work pay off,” said math advisor Jordan Cotton.
In the Individual Competition (Blitz): Neema Rashidi took first place, Joven Hundal took third and Mehr Sahota brought home an honorable mention in the Algebra II category; and Victor Pak took first place, with Lucie Jegoux and Izzy Romero both receiving honorable mention in the Geometry category. In the Partner Competition (Huddle): Martin Acosta and Colby McCann took first in Calculus; Mehtaab Bains and Joven Hundal took first place and Neema Rashidi and Mehr Sahota took second in Algebra II; and Victor Pak and Will Ladine took first place and Lucie Jegoux and Josephine Jegoux took second in Geometry.
“These students have worked very hard to represent Turlock High School at this competition; some for four years, and it paid off,” said advisor Kathlyn Donaldson.
