The Turlock Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred Wednesday night.
The victim, who has not been identified, is a white male adult in his mid-twenties, according to the police department.
The police department has not released many details about the death because the investigation is ongoing.
The shooting was reported at 10:46 p.m. at a home in the 100 block of Vermont Avenue. The call came in as shots fired and when officers arrived they found the victim dead inside a home.
The shooting appears to have originated from the street in front of the residence. It's unknown if the victim was outside the home at the time of the shooting and brought in by the people at the home or if he was inside the residence when he was hit.
There were other occupants in the residence at the time of the incident, but no one else was injured.
The police department has not released any suspect information.
