A Turlock man has been arrested on allegations he raped a co-worker at a Ripon fast food restaurant.

Pedro Ramirez, 30, of Turlock was taken into custody by the Ripon Police Department on Thursday for the April incident.

According to the Ripon Police Department, Ramirez drugged and raped one of his co-workers at the Carl’s Jr. Restaurant on Colony Road in Ripon.

Investigators were hampered in their efforts to locate the suspect, because he reportedly used false identification information to obtain his job in Ripon. 

After questioning by Ripon detectives, Ramirez was turned over to U.S. Immigration investigators because of his residency status. The case is being forwarded to the San Joaquin County District Attorney’s office for review.
