The deaths of a husband and wife found inside their Turlock home Monday night has been ruled a murder-suicide, the Turlock Police Department reported.
The deceased were identified by the police department as Troy Borges, 60 and Susanne Borges, 61.
The discovery of the couple was made by a family member around 9:30 p.m. Monday.
“The Turlock Police Department responded to the 1000 block of East Springer Drive for a report of an aggravated assault,” said Turlock Police spokeswoman Dominique Sanchez. “The reporting party, who lives at the residence, arrived back home and found her parents with obvious life-threatening injuries.”
Turlock Police officers, along with Turlock Fire, American Medical Response and CSU Stanislaus Police responded to the home.
Following the autopsy, the investigation concluded that Troy was responsible for the death of his wife with a utility knife. He subsequently took his own life. The knife was recovered.
“On behalf of the officers and detectives on scene, the Turlock Police Department would like to extend our sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Troy and Susanne,” Sanchez said.
