Robber leaves Turlock store empty-handed

The Turlock Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that happened Wednesday morning at the Walgreens.

The suspect eluded capture and is believed to be armed with a gun. However, the suspect was unsuccessful in getting any money, according to the police department.

The robbery was reported at 8:18 a.m. Wednesday at the Walgreens at 1591 Geer Road.

Witnesses said the suspect used a firearm in the robbery but left empty-handed. The suspect fled in a dark colored four-door sedan that was headed westbound on W. Hawkeye Avenue.

Multiple officers checked the locations around the store, but the suspect and vehicle were not located.

Surveillance of the armed robbery was obtained and will be forwarded to the detectives unit for further investigation.
