A Turlock man was arrested Sunday evening after allegedly threatening to hurt a pizza delivery driver after the driver couldn’t make change for a $100 bill, the Turlock Police Department reported.
The suspect was identified by the police department as Neemiah Harrington, 32. He was arrested on suspicion of strong-arm robbery.
The incident was reported to the police department shortly after 10 p.m. Sunday.
The pizza delivery driver was making a delivery to a home in the 500 block of Clover Road.
According to the police report, the food was being paid for with a $100 bill and the driver did not have the proper change and would have to return to the restaurant to get the change.
Harrington apparently did not like that idea. He got into the passenger seat of the driver’s vehicle and threatened to hurt the driver if he was not given his change right then.
“Neemiah told the victim to give him change using his money or else he would beat up him up,” said Turlock Police spokesperson Dominique Sanchez. “The victim feared for his safety and gave him the change for the $100 bill out of his own money.”
The driver was not harmed and told his employer about the incident, who in turn reported the incident to the police.
Neemiah was arrested without incident.
