The Turlock Police Department is investigating a stabbing that happened late Monday night.

At 11:32 p.m. Monday the police department was dispatched to the 2300 block of Fulkerth Road for a report of a man who had been stabbed by an unknown assailant.

According to the police report, an unidentified Hispanic male adult chased down and stabbed the victim after he fell to the ground.

The victim was taken to a local area hospital with what appeared to be non-life-threatening stab wounds, said Turlock Police spokesman Sgt. Michael Parmley.

Police are reviewing surveillance footage in an effort to determine the suspect's identity and a possible motive for the attack.
