The Turlock Police Department welcomed two new sworn officers - Bryan Tavares and Imelda Suarez. Both recently graduated from the police academy, but they’re no strangers to Turlock PD. Before becoming officers, they each served in different roles within the department.
Officer Suarez was recognized for her athleticism in the academy. While she didn’t receive the physical fitness award, her hard work and determination were clear, and recognized by her peers. Officer Tavares excelled academically, achieving an impressive 97.8% across all categories, and was honored with the "10-11" award, which is selected by his peers to recognize the officer they’d want as their "back-up."
“We’re incredibly proud of everything they’ve achieved and can’t wait to see all they’ll do as police officers. It’s an honor to have them both on our team, and we’re lucky to have them serving our community,” posted the TPD on their Facebook page.
