A man was robbed at gunpoint by two unknown assailants Wednesday morning outside a Turlock hotel and had to be taken to the hospital for his injuries sustained in the attack.
While at the hospital it’s believed the suspects returned to the hotel and stole the man’s vehicle.
The robbery happened around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday in the parking lot of the Comfort Suites at 191 N. Tully Road.
The victim was approached by two black male adults, both armed with handguns. One of the suspects struck the victim, knocking him to the ground.
The robbers took the man’s satchel, which contained his money, phone, paper work and the keys to his vehicle.
The victim suffered lacerations and a broken tooth and was taken to Emanuel Medical Center for care. It was during this time that the victim’s car was stolen, said Turlock Police spokesperson Officer Mayra Lewis.
The suspects were last seen heading northbound on N. Tully in a silver sedan. The victim said there were possibly other individuals in the car.
Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to contact the Turlock Police Department at 668-5550.
