A family dispute took a violent turn when one Turlock man stabbed two of his relatives before fleeing.
The suspect, Jaskaran Singh, 23, of Turlock was later taken into custody at another residence on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon or instrument other than a firearm. Singh is not currently listed as being an inmate in the Stanislaus County Jail and there is no court case currently filed for the incident.
The stabbing was reported to the Turlock Police Department shortly before 8 p.m. Sunday at a home in the 4500 block of N. Berkeley Avenue. The caller told the emergency dispatcher that there had been an argument earlier in the day before escalating to the attack. Singh allegedly stabbed one person in the back and another in the wrist.
The caller said Singh left with a group of individuals and was headed towards a home on Jubilee Drive.
Officers were dispatched to both locations. The two injured individuals were transported by ambulance to an area hospital where they were treated for their wounds.
At the Jubilee Drive residence police detained six people before arresting Singh, said Turlock Police spokesperson Deandra Wiley.
