An investigation by the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office was launched after a series of auto burglaries and thefts in Denair.

Investigators with the General Crimes Unit used surveillance footage and identified the suspect’s vehicle and traced it to a residence in Merced.

With assistance from the Merced Police Department, they executed a search warrant at the suspect’s residence, recovering a significant amount of stolen property, including multiple firearms and a stolen dog.
