A bar melee that looked like a scene from an old Western movie resulted in minor injuries for two men.
The site of the large fight was the La Rancherita bar at 1142 W. Main St. The fight erupted around closing time at 1:30 a.m. Saturday, according to the Turlock Police Department.
None of the people interviewed by the police could or would say what the fight was about of how it started, said Turlock Police Lt. Ron Reid.
During the fight one man was thrown face first through a plate glass window, Reid said. A second man showed up at Emanuel medical Center with an injury to his hand.
One woman who had her purse stolen during the melee said everyone in the bar was fighting and throwing whatever they could lay their hands on.
The fight came to an abrupt end when someone fired a gun into the air multiple times, scattering the crowd, Reid said.
Five shell casings were found. No arrests we made.
